Three specialists. One studio. Your animal goes to the artisan whose entire career has been shaped by that exact species.

Wood duck in full-body flight mount, wings spread mid-arc, feathers individually positioned
Wood Duck — Full-Body Flight Mount
"A wood duck in flight is pure geometry — the arc of the primary feathers, the torque in the neck, the angle of the feet tucking back. I spend two days on the wire armature alone before a single feather touches the form. The anatomy has to be right first. Everything else is just dressing."

Cape buffalo shoulder mount with detailed horn boss and textured facial skin preservation
Cape Buffalo — Pedestal Shoulder Mount
"The Cape buffalo is the most honest animal I work with. There's nowhere to hide a bad seam on a face that scarred and that textured. The horn boss alone takes a full day of reference work — studying the boss ridges, the boss splits, the way light catches the keratin. You earn that mount."

Atlantic tarpon leaping mid-arc, silver scales painted with multi-layer iridescent technique
Atlantic Tarpon — Full-Body Leap Mount
"A leaping tarpon has silver scales that shift from chrome to pewter to pale gold depending on the angle. I mix every base coat from scratch — six layers minimum — and then I paint over them in natural light and artificial light, alternating, until the iridescence behaves like the real thing. You're sculpting light as much as anatomy."

"The animal deserves the same patience it took to pursue it."

Studio Philosophy

Anatomy First.
Craft Second.
Everything Else Follows.

Every mount in this studio begins with a reference study, not a form catalog. The form serves the animal — not the other way around. We work from skeletal anatomy outward: musculature, skin tension, then finish.

01

Intake & Assessment

Every cape, skin, and specimen is examined for condition, field prep quality, and reference documentation before any form selection begins.

02

Form Sculpting & Anatomy

Commercial forms are modified — or custom-sculpted — to match the specific animal's musculature, age, and posture captured in reference photography.

03

Mounting & Finishing

Hide is set with period-specific tanning chemistry. Eyes are positioned by hand with reference specimens. Every seam is hidden before final grooming.

04

Studio Approval

No mount leaves without a final light inspection under the same rim-light conditions used for studio photography. If it doesn't photograph perfectly, it doesn't ship.
